A restful Easter and time to reflect upon the last two months spent working in Cyprus... I think I made some of the best work I ever have. I also found a new sense of freedom in my calligraphy... The peace and sustained hard work has been good. Today the grand studio scheme begins... "An artist needs a studio" (as my friend and fellow artist Alannah Krutina would say)... a space to accommodate and inspire; to facilitate ideas, work and equipment. A place to reflect. Mine has been a work in progress for some time. But things take time. I'm nearly there... I'll let you know how I get on... x

I was telling Carol (she sends her love) how lovely your exhibition looked. I think the wonderful feeling there is at Lempa shows in your work. Will you be going back?
ReplyDeleteHi Rose... I'm so glad you think that, I really try to reflect the place where I am making work - in my work... maybe one day I would love to go back to Lempa, but for now I am back in the Midlands and it definitely feels like home... please give my love to lovely Carol, I hope we can all reunite one day in the Med and make some more art together!
